If you haven’t yet gotten started with HubPages but are intrigued by the potential, this page is for you. This Quick Start Guide for HubPages will get you up and running in no time!
Just follow the steps here to get started:
- Click here to signup at HubPages – in this step, you will just need to put some basic personal information in and then, you’re all set!
- Once you’re all signed up and signed in, you will want to create a basic profile for yourself – don’t worry about getting this perfect as you have time later, but you will want to upload a photo and fill in some basic information. Click here to go to your account page and then click Edit Profile.
- Next, on your account page, you will want to click Affiliate Settings so that you can make sure you will be earning money on your Hubs both now and in the future. Now, this won’t be very lucrative in the beginning, but take care of this now and you’ll see the money rolling in later! On the Affiliate Settings page, put in your Google Adsense ID, Kontera ID and other ID’s for programs you might be signed up for (eBay, Amazon).
- Write Your First Hub! Now that you have your account, your basic profile and your affiliate settings up and running you should get a first Hub under your belt. At the top of the page, click on Start New Hub. Get used to the online editing tool – it’s very simple! Pump out a nice hub and bingo, you’re in the ball game.
- Network yourself on HubPages. You will want to get your name out there. This isn’t a one time step but a continuous process. You should start by clicking here to become a Fan of me on HubPages! Your first contact! Leave me some fan mail, tell me you found me from HubPages Expert and I’ll reciprocate!.
- Continue and learn - Now that you’re all set to go, it’s time to continue writing, networking, marketing yourself.
